The Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Yván Gil, expressed his solidarity with Brazil for the recent aggressions against humble peasants of the Landless Rural Workers Movement (MST) in the Olga Benario settlement, in Tremembé, in São Paulo, that left three people dead.

The official expressed his confidence that the competent authorities will clarify these regrettable events and will take the necessary measures to guarantee justice and protection to the affected families.

“The Homeland of Bolivar reaffirms its commitment to peace, social justice and human rights in our region and the world,” he said.

These statements underline Venezuela's commitment to international solidarity and the defense of human rights, at a time of pain for the Brazilian people. Cooperation and mutual support among nations in the region are essential to face common challenges and promote justice and peace.
