Within the framework of the 30th Ibero-American Summit, Venezuela signed the Madrid Declaration for the promotion of the Ibero-American Artificial Intelligence Alliance, a multinational agreement that seeks to outline the road map for the development of ethical, inclusive AI adapted to the linguistic and social realities of the region, as reported by the Minister of Science and Technology, Yván Gil.
Through a message published on his Telegram channel, Gil indicated that the Creole delegation that signed the agreement was led by the Deputy Minister of Science and Technology, Raúl Hernández, who participated both in the Ibero-American Digital Forum and in the First Ministerial Meeting on Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence, held last November 3 in the Spanish capital.
In addition to the agreement on Artificial Intelligence, the participating delegations validated the new Ibero-American standards on data protection and digital interoperability.
“The Bolivarian Government reaffirms its commitment to cooperation to guarantee technological sovereignty and artificial intelligence that benefits the collective,” said the minister.
