Venezuela and the Dominican Republic gave it their all in the final of the first edition of the Caribbean Kids Series in Panama, an electrifying match that ended 12-10 in favor of the Quisqueyans.

The match played at the Juan Demóstenes Arosamena stadium was a take and give me in the first innings, until in the fifth chapter the Dominicans, with a three-run home run, took the advantage that would crown them.

Dominican Juan Peña was named the Most Valuable Player of the First Series of the Caribe Kids. While the Venezuelan Juan Andrés Guerrero was the Batting Champion.

For his part, Gustavo Talmare from the Dominican Republic was the leader in home runs; and José Ignacio Pérez from Venezuela was elected Best Pitcher.

Venezuela advanced to the final after beating Mexico 3-2 in the semifinals, a team that came undefeated in that instance.
