The Government of Venezuela rejected this Friday the renewal of the “irritated and illegitimate” resolution of the shameful Fact-Determination Mission, created by the extinct and failed Lima Group, at the service of United States (US) imperialism.

In a statement, released on social networks by Foreign Minister Yván Gil, the Bolivarian Government reiterated that “this despicable mission is a clear example of the loss of the institutions of the United Nations System, which have become instruments of coercion and blackmail against sovereign peoples and governments and are unable to address real actions against humanity such as the genocide in Palestine.”

Below is the full text of the document:

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela rejects, in the strongest terms, the renewal of the irritating and illegitimate resolution on the alleged mandate of the shameful Fact-Finding Mission, created by the governments of the failed cartel called Grupo de Lima, with exclusively political objectives at the service of the government of the United States of America.

It is reiterated that this despicable mission is a clear example of the loss of the institutions of the United Nations System, which have become instruments of coercion and blackmail against sovereign peoples and governments and are unable to address real actions against humanity, such as the genocide in Palestine and the bombing of civilians in Lebanon carried out by the State of Israel, supported by governments that today intend to attack the Bolivarian Revolution from a kidnapped human rights council.

The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela has demonstrated that it has a strong commitment to Human Rights, much stronger than most governments that today promote their instrumentalization to reverse the advances of the political process of Venezuelan revolutionary democracy.
