In response to a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry of the Republic of Chile, which interferes with the legal decisions of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the Deputy Minister for Latin America of the Ministry of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs, Rander Peña, delivered a note of protest to the Chilean ambassador accredited in Caracas, Jaime Gazmuri.
In this regard, Peña specified that Venezuela strongly rejects the “offensive and defamatory comments issued today, March 21, in a statement from the Chilean Foreign Ministry,” referring to the recent apprehensions of citizens of opposition political parties for being linked to plans to destabilize the country's peace.
