A delegation from the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, led by the accredited ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Nabil Abdul Khalek, represents the country at the 15th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, a multilateral meeting held from September 26 to October 1 in the city of Abu Dhabi.

The international event is held under the slogan: “Accelerate crime prevention, criminal justice and the rule of law, protecting people, the planet and achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in the digital age”.

During the working days, the Venezuelan representation will discuss, together with delegates from different countries, the mechanisms of cooperation and the exchange of technical tools for the institutional strengthening of justice systems and citizen security in the face of new criminal modalities in the digital sphere.

The United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention constitutes the largest space on a global scale for the debate on public policies, prevention strategies and the exchange of good practices aimed at consolidating equity and the rule of international law.
