On the occasion of the 36th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence of the State of Palestine, this Friday the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela ratified its solidarity with the Palestinian people and cause.

Independence was proclaimed on November 15, 1988 in Algiers (Algeria) by the leader of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), Yasser Arafat.

In this regard, the Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, said on his Telegram channel that “this date evokes the prolonged struggle of the Palestinians for their liberation and highlights our obligation to support their cause, which is also the cause of all humanity.”

Venezuela has always been a voice of support for Palestine and of strong rejection of the genocide perpetrated in the Gaza Strip by the Zionist regime of Israel, which have claimed the lives of more than 43,764 Palestinians, according to figures from the enclave's Ministry of Health.
