Venezuela ratifies its ties of brotherhood and cultural cooperation with Africa

The Venezuelan ambassador to the Russian Federation, Jesús Rafael Salazar Velásquez, attended the commemorative event of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Day this Tuesday, in response to an invitation extended by his counterpart from the Republic of Angola and president of the Group of Ambassadors of the SADC, Augusto da Silva Cunha.

According to information from Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), Ambassador Augusto da Silva Cunha, in his speech, emphasized SADC's commitment to regional integration and the promotion of the tourist and cultural potential of its member States.

The presence of Ambassador Salazar Velásquez reaffirms Venezuela's interest and commitment to supporting initiatives that promote collaboration and mutual understanding at the global level.

The event, which took place at the Moscow Foreign Literature Library, focused on promoting tourism in SADC member countries, a regional organization comprised of Angola, Botswana, Comoros, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Seychelles, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

It should be noted that Venezuela has met and participated in events of this type with the sister nation with the objective of strengthening the cooperation that was initially promoted by Commander Hugo Chávez and continued by President Nicolás Maduro.
