During the development of Expo Avavit 2026 in Caracas, the Minister of Popular Power for Tourism, Daniella Cabello, participated in the discussion “The Regions Speak”, with the objective of promoting ecotourism spaces that promote the country's economic and social growth.
In this regard, the holder of the tourism portfolio emphasized the importance of strengthening inclusive spaces that highlight natural attractions, cultural richness, gastronomy and Venezuelan traditions.
He also highlighted the progressive expansion of air connectivity, with the arrival of the first Qatar Airways flight and the announcement of the direct route between Rome and Caracas by Ita Airways, in addition to 173 international operations and 252 domestic routes, a strategic pillar for the positioning of Venezuela.
At this event, organized by the Venezuelan Association of Travel and Tourism Agencies (Avavit) with Colombia as the guest country, Cabello led working groups with representatives of the public and private sectors. These alliances seek to consolidate sustainable investment models and diversify the national productive economy.
In addition, he confirmed that articulated work makes it possible to project domestic supply to international markets. In this context, he noted that “tourism is consolidating itself as the fundamental engine for the Venezuelan economy. Spaces like this show a real, safe Venezuela, with trained infrastructure, open to investment and with a hospitable people willing to welcome visitors from around the world.”
It should be noted that Expo Avavit 2026 opens a new chapter for Venezuelan tourism: coordinated work between public and private actors lays the foundations for a stronger projection of the country as a recipient of travelers and capital, with an offer that is committed to diversity and quality.
