To highlight the growing economic cooperation between the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the People's Republic of China, a conference was held this Wednesday in Beijing to promote the Paraguaná Special Economic Zone (ZEE), chaired by the Venezuelan ambassador to China, A/J Remigio Ceballos Ichaso.

During the forum, Ceballos highlighted the strengthening of mutual exchange relations between Venezuela and China as a key axis for strategic cooperation between the two nations.

He also highlighted actions focused on the promotion, expansion and consolidation of Venezuela's SEZs and indicated that these initiatives represent significant advances towards the diversification of the national economy, with a view to the integral development of the Venezuelan Power.

At this conference, significant progress was achieved with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding for the joint development of the EEZ of the Paraguaná Peninsula, an agreement that assigns a key role to Chinese companies in the promotion and operation of investments in the region.

An investment guide specifically aimed at Chinese companies was also released, which is backed by appropriate policies and infrastructures and seeks to position the Paraguaná ZEE as an attractive and strategic destination for the private sector.

Chinese experts present at the conference emphasized the importance of localized innovation, highlighting success stories such as that of the company HUAZHI, which has built strong bridges of cooperation between the two nations.

These joint efforts symbolize an extraordinary advance in the consolidation of South-South cooperation, a strategy that redefines global dynamics by encouraging supportive and equitable exchange between developing countries. In this context, Venezuela positions itself as a key actor within the Belt and Road Initiative, a visionary framework that promotes connectivity, trade and sustainable development.
