Venezuela participates in the X Ibero-American Film Festival

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, through the Diplomatic Mission in Namibia, participated in the X Ibero-American Film Festival, organized by the Republic of Cuba, with the intention of showing the Latin American and Caribbean film industry and production, as well as that of Portugal and Spain.

The opening of the event, which brought together representatives from Cuba, Brazil, Spain, Portugal and Venezuela, was led by the Cuban ambassador, Sergio Vigoa de la Uz, who thanked the people and Government of Namibia for consistently supporting this initiative, which is being carried out year after year.

Undoubtedly, they are spaces of fellowship and rapprochement between countries, said the diplomat. While the representative of Namibia, the executive director of the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology, Frans Nghitila, stressed that these activities add up to intra-regional cultural exchange.

The event was attended by authorities from the Government of the Republic of Namibia, accredited Diplomatic Corps, collaborators and Cuban residents in the African country, friends of the solidarity group with Venezuela, the media and the general public.

Among the estimated programming, the cinematographic screening of the different performances stands out, including the Cuban film “A Night with The Rolling Stones” and “Monday, Tuesday or Never Sunday”, from Venezuela.
