Venezuela participates in the China-LAC Business Summit in Nicaragua

A delegation from Venezuela is participating in the XVII China-Latin America and the Caribbean (China-LAC) Business Summit, which takes place in Managua on November 18 and 19.

The Venezuelan representation is headed by the Minister of the People's Power of National Trade, Luis Villegas, together with 39 authorities, the second largest delegation behind the Chinese delegation.

During his speech at the plenary session, Villegas highlighted the 31 agreements recently signed with China and the five Special Economic Zones that are being worked on a bilateral basis, and recalled that in 2023 both countries raised their relations to an All-Proof and All-Time Strategic Partnership.

More than 200 delegates from 29 countries participate in the China-LAC Business Summit, according to Nicaraguan authorities. Venezuela submitted its candidacy to host the Summit in 2026.
