The Venezuelan baseball team achieved its second victory in the U23 World Cup by knocking out Great Britain with a final score of 10 to 0, in a game played at the Roberto Clemente Walker stadium in Managua, Nicaragua.

Venezuela has two undefeated wins and two knockouts, after applying the same dose to South Africa in the opening match of the championship.

The Venezuelan team built a ten-race rally in the fourth episode, taking advantage of the rival's advantages, scoring one line by uncontrolled throwing, another by mistake and adding two more with tickets with full bases. The final blow came with the home run with the bases full of John Frank Salazar, who expanded the scoreboard to 9 to 0 at the time. Salazar hit 1-1 with four RBIs, two scored and two tickets received.

Diego González went 2-2 with two scored, while Jesús Castillo finished 3-1 with one scored and one RBIed. Venezuelan pitchers dominated the match; starter Yujanyer Herrera was credited with the victory after tolerating an unstoppable, giving away a ticket and striking out five opponents in three innings. Henson Leal worked an episode with a ticket and a strikeout, and Nelvis Ochoa closed the game after a one-hit inning and two strikeouts.

Venezuela is close to qualifying for the Super Round; a win in the next three matches will be enough to secure passage to the next phase, and its next rival will be Korea this Sunday at 8:30 PM.
