Venezuela is preparing Anti-Fascist Congress for September 10 and 11

The Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil Pinto, during a preparatory meeting for the World Congress Against Fascism and Similar Expressions, to be held in Caracas on September 11 and 12, stressed the importance of this activity in the fight against this scourge.

In that regard, he pointed out that the Congress has the mission of becoming a “very strong sounding board at the international level” of President Nicolás Maduro for left-wing movements and serving as a platform for struggle.

Gil specified that the objective of this meeting is not only to denounce fascism, but also to build “a new doctrine for this phase of struggle and advancement of the Bolivarian Government that is always practically at the forefront.”

In addition, he highlighted the need to multiply and publicize this congress, in order to wage the media battle.

The Deputy Minister of Latin America, Rander Peña, said that the meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministries of Culture; Interior, Justice and Peace; Communication, Tourism and National Trade. In addition, from BANCOEX, Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America - Free Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP) and the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV).

He also added that so far 211 people from different countries have confirmed their attendance at the event.
