The Ambassador Permanent Representative of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the United Nations (UN), Samuel Moncada, this Thursday, June 6, reported that for the first time the nation is elected to hold one of the vice-presidencies of the General Assembly of this multilateral organization.

Through his account on the social network X, he stressed that only the United States government raised its opposition to the measure.

“The U.S. empire was the only one to oppose it because it recognizes the puppet government it invented to steal CITGO from Venezuelans,” he emphasized.

Moncada said that “that's what local US agents are for.”
