The president of the National Assembly and designated for the Peace Dialogues for Venezuela, Jorge Rodríguez, said this Thursday that the Bolivarian Government has everything ready for the resumption of repatriation flights from the United States (USA).
“We want to insist that Venezuela is ready, that we have absolutely everything ready to resume flights to bring in migrants who are in the United States of America. We are completely ready, just waiting for the necessary coordination to take place,” Rodríguez stressed after participating in a meeting between President Nicolás Maduro and the families of Venezuelans kidnapped in a maximum-security prison in El Salvador.
He emphasized that the US State Department is blocking flights and reiterated that Venezuela is ready to search for anyone who has to search the North American country “on whatever frequency is established.”
“If it were up to us, we'll bring them all to us. If it were up to us, we would not leave a single Venezuelan to be mistreated in the United States of America (...) We are not going to rest and I am referring to all the people of Venezuela, to President Nicolás Maduro, to the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, to the National Assembly and especially to the mothers and fathers of their boys, we will not rest until we see them landing at the Simón Bolívar airport in Maiquetía, here in their homeland. We will not rest and we will succeed,” he stressed.
