Venezuela hails Iran's strong support for the 2024 Presidential Elections

The Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, this Sunday, March 31, stressed that Venezuela welcomes Iran's strong support for the 2024 Presidential Elections, scheduled to be held on July 28, as well as its rejection of United States interference in the country's internal affairs.

Through his account on the social network X, Gil considered that it is an “important gesture of brotherhood between our countries and the unrestricted attachment to international legality”.

In the message, he stressed that “the Islamic Republic of #Iran expresses its strong support for the presidential elections of #28Julio, joining the rejection of US interference in the internal affairs of Venezuelans”.

The Venezuelan foreign minister referred to a publication by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Nasser Kanaani, who in his account on the social network X, reiterates that this nation “has expressed its strong support for the democratic process of elections and for the constitutional institutions of Venezuela and rejects US interference in the internal affairs of this country.”

Stresses that "Iran believes that in order to respect the right to national sovereignty and the right of nations to participate in the political process, all countries must provide the necessary support and support to the legitimate and legal process of elections in Venezuela”.
