During the month of June of this year, Venezuela ranked fifth in the ranking of oil exporters to the United States (USA).

According to data provided by the US Energy Information Administration (EIA), in June, the United States consumed 6 million 664 thousand barrels per day (bpd), of which 3.4% was Venezuelan crude, or 226 thousand bpd.

The EIA indicated that Venezuelan crude oil exports registered an increase of 79%, due to the fact that in June 2023 those exports were in the order of 126,000 bpd.

According to official EIA data, more than a year and six months have passed since crude oil exports began from Venezuela, which speaks to the discipline and capacity of companies such as Chevron and PDVSA to meet the demand for crude oil in the United States, all under the licenses granted by OFAC, which give it some certainty and stability to keep up with the pace of exports.
