Through an official statement, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela expressed its congratulations to the People and Government of Nicaragua for commemorating the 45th anniversary of the triumph of the Sandinista Popular Revolution.

Below is the full text of the communication:

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela expresses its warmest and most fraternal congratulations to the brotherly people and Government of Nicaragua, who today commemorate the 45th anniversary of the triumph of the glorious Sandinista Popular Revolution.

On this day of ratification of the loving commitment, we remember with deep admiration the courage of the Nicaraguan people who, under the leadership of the Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN), achieved victory on July 19, becoming an example for peoples who seek to achieve their true independence.

The spirit of those heroes and martyrs who forged this historic feat lives on in every corner of Nicaragua and resounds in the hearts of the new generations who have taken the witness of the struggle to defend their right to live in peace, free from the oppression of imperialism and neocolonialism.

The Bolivarian Government of Venezuela reaffirms its unwavering commitment to solidarity with the people and Government of Nicaragua and is convinced that unity and cooperation between our nations will allow the construction of a world where justice, equality and respect for self-determination prevail.

Venezuela extends its fraternal embrace to Commander President Daniel Ortega and to the Vice President, Compañera Rosario Murillo, loyal sons of General Sandino, who have been able to guide the Nicaraguan people to new victories.

Long live the Sandinista Popular Revolution!

Long live the heroic people of Nicaragua!

Long live the unity and solidarity of our peoples!
