Venezuela championed the national team that will represent it in the BRICS 2024 games

This Friday, they championed the Venezuelan delegation that will participate in the fifth edition of the BRICS Games to be held from June 12 to 23 in Kazan, Russia.

The activity took place at the facilities of the National Sports Institute, and during the same period Yorgelis Salazar and Daniel Molina received the Venezuelan flag.

The event was attended by the Vice President for Social and Territorial Socialism, also Minister of Popular Power for Youth and Sports, Mervin Maldonado, Ninoska Clocier, president of the IND and other national sports leaders.

Venezuela will participate in 12 sports disciplines, including chess, boxing, Phygital football, karate do, weightlifting, sambo, table tennis, wushu, and others.

So far for these games, Venezuela will have a total of 26 male athletes, 16 female athletes and 26 members of the multidisciplinary team. Meanwhile, in this edition of the multidisciplinary event, more than 5,000 athletes from more than 60 countries around the world will participate.
