This Sunday, the Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, through his Telegram channel, celebrated the anniversary of diplomatic relations with Türkiye.
“Today we commemorate the anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Türkiye and Venezuela, a milestone that took place on December 29, 1950,” Gil wrote.
He also said that the union rose to a significant level with the arrival of Commander Hugo Chávez to the presidency in 1998. “Throughout the Bolivarian Revolution, our peoples have strengthened ties of friendship and cooperation, working together in various areas and promoting mutual economic, cultural and social development.”
“On this day, we reaffirm our commitment to the People and the Government of Türkiye to continue building a solid relationship based on mutual respect, with the objective of promoting a new multipolar world,” stressed the chancellor
Venezuela is one of the countries with which Türkiye established its first diplomatic relations in the Latin American and Caribbean region. Diplomatic relations were established in 1950.
