From his office in Caracas, the Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, held a talk this Wednesday with the interim resident coordinator of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Venezuela, Magdy Martínez Solimán, in order to “strengthen strategic collaboration between our institutions”.

Through a publication in his X account, the Chancellor explained that inter-institutional cooperation with UNDP seeks to promote “the productive and socio-economic development of the country”.

At the meeting, the diplomats reviewed the cooperation agenda between the South American nation and this United Nations program, thereby confirming the interest of the Bolivarian Government in strengthening cooperation with the entire system of multilateral organization present in the nation.

In 2022, Venezuela and UNDP signed a memorandum of understanding to contribute to improving access and use of digital media in communities and territories through the rehabilitation of infocenters, and an International Technical Cooperation memorandum aimed at boosting the national productive sector, by strengthening business management capacities and encouraging the resilience of micro and small businesses in operation, as well as the development of enterprises.
