Venezuela and Türkiye sign concession contracts in petrochemicals and precious minerals

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, signed concession contracts for the exploration and commercialization of precious minerals and hydrocarbons with Türkiye businessmen.

The Head of State highlighted the agreement for the construction of a petrochemical plant producing ammonia in Venezuela.

“With the power it has, PEQUIVEN makes a first-world strategic alliance to build a new plant with the best technology. We already have new steps planned to continue joining forces in investment and building Venezuela's immense potential in the field of petrochemistry,” said the President.

He added the nationalist nature of the oil and mineral industries within the framework of these international agreements. “Nobody is going to privatize PDVSA. On the basis of the law and the Constitution, we will continue to obtain investments, technology and future markets for Venezuelan gas,” said the President.

Highlighting the alliance between Ankara and Caracas, he mentioned the sealed alliances between Venezuela and Türkiye in petrochemical, gas and mining matters.

It should be noted that among the agreements signed between Venezuela and Türkiye are: Concession contract for the exploration and exploitation of minerals, gold and copper and their commercialization. Strategic alliance for the development of the value chain of natural gas, liquefied and natural gas liquids for export. Investment and productive participation contract for the development of petrochemical activities.
