Venezuela and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea discuss issues of common interest

Both authorities pledged to continue working for the deepening of political-bilateral relations

The Deputy Minister for Asia, the Middle East and Oceania of the Ministry of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Tatiana Pugh Moreno, held a pleasant meeting this Tuesday with the chargé d'affaires of the Embassy of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Han Song Guk, with whom she discussed issues of common interest for Venezuela and the Asian nation.

At the fraternal meeting, the diplomats exchanged views on the successful visit of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, to the DPRK of Korea and the complex situation on the Korean Peninsula, as a result of the “Freedom Edge” military exercises.

The Chargé d'Affaires delivered a letter signed by the President of State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Kim Jong Un, addressed to President Nicolás Maduro Moros, on the occasion of the anniversary of the Independence of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

In this regard, Deputy Minister Pugh Moreno thanked the letter and stressed the importance of strengthening relations between peoples and cooperating for the economic development of both countries.

Finally, both authorities committed themselves to continuing to work for the deepening of political-bilateral relations, which leverage the growth of ties of friendship, solidarity and cooperation.
