This Thursday, May 09, the Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, held a meeting with his counterpart from Suriname, Albert Ramdin, as part of the Conference of the Association of Caribbean States, held in Paramaribo, with the purpose of consolidating friendship and cooperation between the two nations.

The information was released by Gil, through his account on the social network X, in which he said that “during the @ACS_AEC meeting in Paramaribo, we had the pleasure of meeting with the Foreign Minister of Suriname, Albert Ramdin”.

He specified that the meeting was “with the objective of strengthening friendship between our nations, highlighting our agreements in terms of economic, agricultural and tourism development”.

At this event, the bilateral dialogue agenda focused on exploring ways to intensify collaboration in strategic sectors.

Diplomatic representatives highlighted the importance of existing agreements and outlined plans to promote economic development, with special emphasis on agriculture and tourism, areas identified as engines of mutual and sustainable growth.
