Venezuela and Serbia ratify in New York their commitment to sovereignty and territorial integrity

To continue his work agenda on the sidelines of the 79th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN), which is being held in New York, this Friday the Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs of Venezuela, Yván Gil, met with the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, to review the cooperative relations between the two countries.
Through his Telegram channel , the Venezuelan Foreign Minister explained that they reaffirmed their “mutual commitment to sovereignty and territorial integrity, two fundamental principles that are the basis of the UN.”
During the meeting, the Serbian President awarded the “Order of the Flag”, in his first class, to the alternate permanent representative of Venezuela to the UN, Ambassador Joaquín Pérez Ay, for his contribution to strengthening relations of friendship and cooperation between Caracas and Belgrade.
Last April, the president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, held a telephone conversation with his Serbian counterpart, in which he reiterated the Caribbean nation's unconditional support for the territorial integrity of Serbia and its efforts in all multilateral spaces in defense of international law and the historical truth of its people.
