The Foreign Minister of
the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Yván Gil, met this Thursday with the Minister
of African Integration and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Senegal, Yassine
Fall, in a telephone contact aimed at strengthening binational cooperation.
“During our
talk, we reviewed the ties of cooperation and friendship that have united us for
almost six decades, reaffirming our mutual commitment to the sovereignty of
our peoples,” said the Venezuelan diplomat through his Telegram channel.
In addition, Gil explained that they agreed “on the importance of raising the level of bilateral relations, moving towards the realization of the First Joint Commission in 2025, which will make it possible to deepen cooperation in strategic areas for mutual development.”
The Foreign Minister extended, on behalf of the Bolivarian Government, his “sincere congratulations on the 65th anniversary of the independence of this important African nation, reaffirming our path of sovereignty and free self-determination, free from neocolonial hegemonism”.
