Venezuela and Russia signed a cooperation agreement for scientific research

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Russian Federation signed a strategic cooperation agreement for scientific and agri-food research, said Gabriela Jiménez, the sector vice-president of Science, Technology, Education and Health.

In his account on the social network X, he explained that this agreement includes collaboration between universities, schools of agronomy, engineering, producers, peasant movements and agro-industry, in order to strengthen the country's productive capacities and develop modern strategies in sustainable agriculture.

At the meeting between representatives of the Russian embassy and representatives of Venezuela, held in Caracas, the Minister of Popular Power for Productive Agriculture and Lands, Wilmar Castro Soteldo, and the Minister of People's Power for University Education, Sandra Oblitas, were also present.

He explained that “the work agenda for projects of interest to the Agrifood Engine was established together with Dr. Dmitry Nikolaevich Bspalov, Rector of the University of the North Caucasus.”

Minister Castro Soteldo, in his account on the social network X, explained that the Memorandum of Understanding was signed “between @ MinAgriculturaV, the Uticex Foundation and the Univ. Federal of the North Caucasus of the Russian Federation, in the field of training, research and technical and scientific support in the agri-food sector”.
