Venezuela and Russia explore potential in tourism

Both sides agreed that cooperation in this sector will benefit their respective economies.

Representatives of the State Duma of the Russian Federation and the Venezuelan Ministry of People's Power for Tourism held a meeting to explore new opportunities for collaboration in the tourism field, in a dialogue that strengthens ties between the two nations.

According to information from Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), the Venezuelan delegation was led by the head of Tourism, Leticia Gómez, who emphasized the importance of this sector as an engine of economic and cultural development.

With Gómez was the Venezuelan ambassador to Russia, Jesús Salazar Velásquez, and the Deputy Minister of Popular Power for Tourism, Vladimir Molina, who highlighted the need to promote cultural exchange and tourism opportunities between the two countries.

On the Russian side, the delegation was led by the chairman of the Committee on Tourism and Tourism Infrastructure Development, Sangadzhi Andreevich Tarbaev, accompanied by deputies Alexey Anatolyevich Volotskov and Anna Valerievna Skroznikova. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss concrete projects that could promote inbound tourism in Venezuela and explore the potential offered by the Russian tourism infrastructure.

Both sides agreed that cooperation in this sector will not only benefit their respective economies, but will also allow for mutual cultural enrichment. In this regard, the Venezuelan delegation reaffirmed its commitment to working together with the Eurasian nation to create synergies that promote sustainable tourism development and the strengthening of bilateral relations.
