Venezuela and Iraq propose to sign an Air Services Agreement

The Minister of Transportation of the Republic of Iraq, Razzaq Muhaybis al-Saadawi, received the Venezuelan ambassador accredited in Baghdad, Arturo Aníbal Gallegos Ramírez, at a meeting at which they reviewed historic bilateral relations and ways to strengthen them.
The Minister stressed the importance of being able to sign the draft air services agreement as soon as possible and added that he will do everything possible to ensure that Iraq soon joins operations with commercial and cargo airlines in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
On June 22, the two nations will celebrate 75 years of diplomatic relations, so the Foreign Ministries of both countries are organizing preparations for the holding of the High-Level Joint Commission.
Gallegos Ramírez highlighted the willingness of the Bolivarian Government to sign this agreement and ratified the economic and tourist importance of Venezuela.
The Head of Mission expressed his country's commitment to supporting stability and security in Iraq, confirming the desire of the Government of President Nicolás Maduro Moros to develop bilateral ties in all areas.
