The information was released by the Ministry of People's Power for Transport through an official statement released on its Instagram account.
In this regard, the meeting held on October 28, was attended by the president of the State Railroad Institute (IFE), Claudio Farías, and the president of the Caracas Metro Agency, Yoel Amaya.
In addition, together with Indian diplomats and managers of the foreign firm, the authorities evaluated various investment proposals aimed at strengthening a key infrastructure that mobilizes more than 50,000 passengers on a daily basis.
The choice of the company RITES responds to its solid and proven international track record in railway engineering.
The company is backed by having executed more than 10,000 kilometers of railway lines worldwide.
Finally, with this alliance, the Venezuelan State seeks to consolidate technology transfer and technical cooperation, to guarantee a more efficient, safe and cutting-edge mass transportation service for citizens.
