The incinerated drug comes from a joint operation in the Caribbean Sea between the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), the Bolivarian Navy and the French National Navy, which intercepted the fishing boat “Libertad”.

In the proceeding, the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) arrested four citizens and seized the illegal substances, together with elements of criminal interest.

During the incineration ceremony, the National Anti-Drug Superintendent, M/G Danny Ferrer Sandrea, emphasized that “this joint action with France reaffirms the effectiveness of international cooperation and shared intelligence in the face of the global drug problem.”

Ferrer Sandrea was accompanied by the National Anti-Drug Commander of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), G/D Ciro Fonseca; representatives of the Judiciary, the Public Prosecutor's Office and the delegation of the Republic of France, Sébastien García, customs attaché of the French Embassy in Colombia concurrent in Venezuela; and Kim Ramoneda, in charge of Business of the Embassy of France in Venezuela.

These actions are part of the policies of sovereign defense and international cooperation in this area promoted by the State, aimed at combating criminal groups and guaranteeing peace for the Venezuelan people.
