Venezuela and China signed a series of agreements to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the agricultural sector, with the objective of improving food security and promoting the sustainable development of agricultural production in Venezuela.

According to a press release from the International Center for Productive Investment (CIIP), these agreements contemplate the planting of 10,000 hectares of land, which will be used for various crops,

The signing of the agreements was signed by the Minister for Agriculture and Lands, Julio León Heredia; the Minister of Industry and National Production and president of the CIIP, Alex Saab and representatives of the Government of the People's Republic of China.

The relationship between Venezuela and China has been historically solid, with cooperation in various areas, such as energy, infrastructure and agriculture. With this new approach to the agricultural sector, both countries seek to strengthen their ties and move forward in creating a more productive and resilient agricultural system.
