Venezuela and China reaffirm cooperation in the area of economic and social development

Through the social network X, the Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, reaffirmed that Venezuela and China reaffirmed their alliances in the agreed joint projects in the area of economic and social development.

In this regard, he indicated that he held a meeting with his counterpart from the People's Republic of China, Wang Yi, in the context of a visit associated with the celebration at the end of the month of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, in which the progress of the agreements signed in the XVII High-Level Joint Commission (CMAN) was evaluated.

He stressed that this visit strengthens friendship and strategic cooperation between both nations for the benefit of the region and the multipolar world.

The XVII High Level Joint Commission (CMAN) was held in September 2023 during the trip of the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, to the Asian nation.

Chinese-Venezuelan friendly ties constitute a kind of relations between State and State, which are based on the principles of mutual respect, equality and mutual benefit with a view to the future and correspond to the fundamental interests of both countries and peoples.
