The Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, received this Thursday in his office in Caracas the ambassador of the People's Republic of China accredited to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Lan Hu.

Through his account on the social network X, the Venezuelan Foreign Minister noted that they addressed “issues of mutual interest and the strengthening of bilateral relations within the framework of the strategic alliance between our countries and a shared vision of the multipolar world.”

In September 2023, at the end of his historic official visit to China, President Nicolás Maduro defined it as “an intense, extensive and productive day”, in which the determined will to move towards “new paths for a higher relationship” became evident.

“We are taking firm steps to elevate our relations to a strategic partnership that is being tested and tested at all times, a historic and beautiful concept,” emphasized the Venezuelan head of state.

31 new bilateral agreements resulted from the XVII China-Venezuela High Level Joint Commission (CMAN) developed in September during Maduro's trip, being assumed as a revival of the strategic partnership within the new character “under all tests and all times”.
