The US senator, Lindsey Graham, this Sunday urged the Zionist regime of Israel to emulate in the Gaza Strip the situation with the atomic bombings of Japanese cities Hiroshima and Nagasaki, launched by Washington during the Second World War.

“When we faced destruction as a nation after Pearl Harbor, fighting against the Germans and the Japanese, we decided to end the war by bombing Hiroshima and Nagasaki with nuclear weapons,” said the Republican in an interview with NBC News, shamelessly stressing that “that was the right decision.”

In this regard, he urged the West to give “Israel the bombs it needs” to continue the genocide against the Palestinian people. “So, Israel, do what you have to do to survive as a Jewish state. Whatever you have to do,” he said.

“I think it's impossible to mitigate the deaths of civilians in Gaza as long as Hamas uses its own population as human shields. I have never seen in the history of war such brazen efforts by an enemy, Hamas, to put civilians at risk,” he concluded without providing any evidence in his comments.

On May 6, Tel Aviv ordered the evacuation of the eastern part of the Gazan city of Rafa due to an operation in specific areas, launched despite international condemnation. Even allies of Israel such as the United States urged the Jewish country not to undertake a full-scale offensive in the town.

Since last October, the Zionist regime has killed more than 35,000 people in the Palestinian enclave, of whom more than half are women and children, according to official figures from the Gaza Ministry of Health.
