Last Tuesday, the police of the United States Congress (USA) arrested nearly 200 activists who participated in a protest against the visit of the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, who this Wednesday will give a speech at the Capitol.

The activists protested with the message “Not in my name” to condemn the genocide in Gaza and also to denounce the complicity of the government of US President Joe Biden in the supply of weapons and funds to Israel.

Netanyahu's visit comes two months after the chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), Karim Khan, requested an arrest warrant against the Israeli premier for committing war crimes.

In view of the fact, US legislators commented that they will boycott Netanyahu's speech to Congress. Several democrats announced that they will not attend the legislative precinct in rejection of the presence of the Israeli head of government.
