Uruguay: Yamundú Orsi and Álvaro Delgado advance to the second presidential round

This Monday, it was announced that the candidate of the Broad Front, Yamandú Orsi and the candidate for the presidency of Uruguay for the National Party, Álvaro Delgado, will face each other in the second round scheduled for November 24, due to the number of votes in the presidential elections held last Sunday.
According to data from the Electoral Court, with more than 99% of the counting completed, the leftist Yamandú Orsi won 43.9 percent of the votes compared to 26.7 percent for the ruling party Álvaro Delgado.
The candidates will face each other in the second round after obtaining a majority of the votes and not exceeding the barrier of 50 percent of the votes.
The results of the elections coincided with the projections of the polling companies, who gave Orsi and Delgado as the most voted candidates in the first round of elections.
