Upon his arrival in Madrid, Spain, Edmundo González wrote his farewell letter, thus shattering María Corina Machado's desperate speech that she “will continue to fight from abroad with the diaspora”.
After his asylum in Spain, processed before the Venezuelan authorities, as reported this weekend by the Vice President of the Executive of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, Machado declared that “Edmundo's exile is necessary and he will fight from outside.”
These statements by La Sayo constitute, by all accounts, an act of desperation, because in the letter released by González today on social networks, he assures that “I am incompatible with resentment. Only the politics of dialogue can make us meet again as compatriots.” This makes it clear that he will not seek any conflict and for MCM there were only a few thanks “for the effort” in the electoral process.
