This Tuesday, the commissioner general of the United Nations Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Middle East (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, declared that the conflict in Gaza continues to have a terrible human cost and causes 10 children to lose one or both legs every day.
On
average, ten children lose one or two legs a day. At a press
conference in Geneva, Lazzarini noted that this illustrates
the type of childhood a child could have in Gaza, as published
on the Xinhua website.
Lanzarini
reported that around 4,000
children have been reported missing,
while after almost nine months of intense hostilities,
another 17,000 children are unaccompanied.
In addition,
4,000 have lost their lives since October 7, 2023.
