The Deputy Minister for Risk Management and Civil Protection, MG. Carlos Pérez Am, installed the Unified Forest Fire Protection Command in the Henry Pittier National Park in the state of Aragua, in order to protect this forest and animal reserve, threatened by fires.

During the activity, the Deputy Minister provided equipment, tools and uniforms to both Forest Firefighters and members of the National Risk Management System team in the Aragüeña region, so that these officials can counteract possible forest fires that may occur in the coming dry season, which is accelerating due to the natural phenomenon “El Niño”.

It should be noted that the delivery of these implements was attended by the Minister of Popular Power for Ecosocialism, Josué Lorca, and the governor of the state of Aragua, Karina Carpio.

In previous days, the Bolivarian Government undertook great efforts with the activation of the Unified Forest Fire Protection Command by the Sectorial Vice President for Citizen Security and Peace, AJ. Remigio Ceballos Ichaso, for the protection of ecosystems in the national territory and the response to any emergency that may arise.
