The United Nations (UN) denounced that Israel's military forces maintain the systematic confinement of the civilian population in Gaza to ever smaller strips of territory, accompanying these operations with the deliberate destruction of vital infrastructure and the siege of refugee settlements.

In a report presented by the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, the multilateral body warned of the drastic breakdown of minimum livelihood conditions in the enclave, where the population is constantly displaced amid the paralysis of essential care services and the collapse of water and health systems.

The international organization stressed that thousands of vulnerable families face the winter season in makeshift shelters that do not provide protection against severe weather, a situation that increases the risks of epidemiological outbreaks and directly compromises the survival of children and older adults.

Faced with this scenario, the various United Nations agencies categorically urged international actors to coordinate immediate actions to stop war actions, ensure compliance with international humanitarian law and ensure the unrestricted entry of aid shipments for the victims.
