After 16-hour search and rescue efforts in Henri Pittier National Park, in the state of Aragua, rescuers found two young men alive who were lost.
“For our volunteers, our rescuers, a big round of applause and thank God for the lives of these young people,” said the legislator of the state of Aragua, Lipson Ferrer.
He also made “a recommendation to all young people, adults, who use our park for hiking: we must have a lot of responsibility when we know and walk our mountains, because we are nothing more and nothing less than putting our lives as human beings at risk”.
The national, regional and municipal governments, the governor of the region, Joana Sánchez, and the members of Civil Protection carried out the search in a joint effort.
