The Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) announced, this Friday, the political authorization to exercise public functions to opponents Richard Mardo and Leocenis García.

This was announced by the Political Administrative Chamber of the country's highest court, through two judgments published on its website stating that the decision was taken on the basis of a precautionary measure filed by both politicians in the light of the agreements signed in Barbados between the National Government and the opposition.

It should be remembered that on October 17, 2023, the delegations of the Bolivarian Government and the Unitary Platform of an opposition sector signed two partial agreements on the day of resumption of the dialogue and negotiation process that took place in the city of Bridgetown, in Barbados.

Partial agreements refer to the promotion of political rights and additional guarantees for all, and the protection of the vital interests of the nation.
