Traffic accidents were reduced by 44.7% during holiday seasons

During the Christmas holidays, the incidence of traffic accidents in the country fell by 44.7%, said the Minister of Interior, Justice and Peace, A/J Remigio Ceballos Ichaso.

During the first meeting of the Ministerial Council for Citizen Security, Ceballos explained that during the holidays at the end of the year, the National Risk Management System (SNGR) guaranteed the lives and protection of Venezuelans through the assistance of 67,500 people during this device.

In the same way, as revealed in a press release from the security portfolio, as part of the safe Christmas system, 32,000 medical assistance, 11,000 roads, 23,000 ambulance transfers and the rescue of 225 people in various emergencies were carried out.

In addition, the admiral in chief stressed that, as part of the comprehensive prevention policy for life and peace, 7,000 preventive actions were carried out in the national territory.

“As ordered by our president Nicolás Maduro, the men and women of citizen security guaranteed the protection of the 15,551,013 people who mobilized during this period of family union,” he said.
