Traffic accidents have fallen 40% during Holy Week 2024

The Minister of People's Power for Interior Relations, Justice and Peace, Remigio Ceballos, said that traffic accidents have fallen by 40% during Holy Week 2024.
During an overflight over the beaches of Sucre state and other coastal states in the country, the also Sectorial Vice President for Public Safety and Peace, specified that the number of injured in road accidents fell by 30%.
He also noted that more than 2,752 ambulance transfers, 4,929 paramedical services and 838 road assistance have been carried out.
Finally, he called for “prevention, the call is for calm, for peace of mind, to take your time, to take precautions during your transfer... you have to wear a seat belt, not to use your cell phone while driving, for the protection of all citizens. The call is for prevention.”
