Trade between Venezuela and Colombia reached 607.3 million dollars between January and July 2024, representing an increase of 36.5% compared to the same period in 2023.

This was reported by the president of the Venezuelan Chamber of Economic Integration (Cavecol), Luis Alberto Russián, reviews the Venezolana de Televisión web portal.

Russián highlighted that in the case of exports from the Bolivarian nation to the New Granada country, 60% of the products enter through the maritime border, while the remaining 40% pass through land borders.

He also specified that the imports that arrive in Venezuela from Colombia reach 76%, by land, while only 24% are through the maritime border.

He also specified that land borders concentrate 71.2% of commercial activity, thus evidencing the importance of border crossings between the two countries.

It is worth mentioning that in the second Venezuela-Colombia Binational Tourism Exchange, businessmen from both countries held a business meeting to promote the tourism sector of the two South American nations; an event that took place at the Convention Center of the “Simon Bolivar” Park in La Carlota, Miranda state.
