The deputy to the National Assembly (AN), Francisco Torrealba, stressed that the indexation measure applied by the Bolivarian Government to serve the country's workers has helped to ensure that “the purchasing power of the comprehensive minimum income does not deteriorate over time.”

In an interview with journalist Michel Caballero, the parliamentarian stated that with this measure, which was announced in January by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, during his Memory and Account in the AN, it has made it possible to improve the salaries of the national public administration.

“In 2019 we had a salary of around three dollars, today we have a minimum comprehensive living income that exceeds 135 dollars and that will surely continue to improve,” he said.

In this regard, he indicated that this indexation is observed in the delivery of socialist basket tickets and bonds that are canceled to the national public administration, through the Patria System.

“As the exchange value increases, adjustments are also being made, which have to do with the socialist ticket and with the bonuses that are canceled for government workers,” he said.

In January, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, increased the indexed comprehensive minimum income by 100 dollars to the public sector, consisting of 60 dollars in the so-called economic war bond and 40 dollars for the socialist ticket basket.

“It is possible to continue to improve, it is possible that it will continue to increase, but increasingly, the working class is clear about this,” he added

On the other hand, Torrealba invited everyone to participate in the mobilization that will be carried out by the working class this Wednesday, May 1, within the framework of Worker's Day.

He affirmed that this day will not only be attended by the working class that supports the revolutionary process, but also by other organizations, such as the Confederation of Workers of Venezuela (CTV), who highlight the work done by the Bolivarian Government for the care of workers.
