THE 43 VICTIMS OF LEOPOLDO LÓPEZ

(CCS City, February 17, 2017)

• As if nothing had happened, with 43 people killed in tow, Lilian Tintori went to the White House to request more interventions and pressure against the Venezuelan people.
• On the three-year anniversary of the February 2014 guarimbas, Tintori was greeted by newly-elected President Donald Trump, Vice President Mike Pence and Florida Senator Marco Rubio. An opportunity he took advantage of to make his media show and propaganda against Venezuela.
• At that time, it marked the third year of the murder of a total of 43 people during the coup opposition demonstrations that took place on February 12, 2014, encouraged by her husband, Leopoldo López, who called on his followers to take to the streets with violence.
• These actions responded to the so-called “La Salida” plan, which sought to deal a coup against the Constitutional Government of President Nicolás Maduro.
