This Monday starting at 4:30 p.m., local time, various social, political, trade union and human rights organizations will march in Buenos Aires and other provinces of Argentina to commemorate the National Day of Remembrance, for Truth and Justice.

49 years after the coup d'etat of 1976, which marked the beginning of the last civic-military dictatorship in the country, thousands of people will be in the historic Plaza de Mayo, accompanied by emblematic organizations such as the Grandmothers and Mothers of Plaza de Mayo, the Peace and Justice Service and the Permanent Assembly for Human Rights, among others, Prensa Latina reports.

This time, the march will also serve to express the rejection of denial, hate speech and the dismantling of memory and human rights policies. In addition, the criminalization of social protest, repression and adjustment promoted by the government of President Javier Milei will be denounced, as well as the possible signing of a new agreement with the International Monetary Fund.
